Turkey has a very young population. Average age is 28.5, and population under age 20 is 25 million. Every year more than one million students reach the age of higher education.
Also being the capital city, Turkey's second biggest city Ankara has many universities and a surplus of highly skilled workforce. Salary levels are attractive compared to Western Europe. Itnomy uses this capacity and its knowledge of Turkish labor market and education system to build talented teams dedicated to outsourced client projects.
Itnomy distinguishes itself from traditional offshoring companies in the way that it implements client projects as a local company in the Netherlands, and manages the complete project by taking overall responsibility. Itnomy achieves a combination of cost advantages, higher efficiency, faster set-up and development times, and good quality by deploying major parts of the project to its highly skilled team in Ankara.
Itnomy does not base its nearshore business model only on cost advantages. It uses university/industry cooperation possibilities
with Middle East Technical University (METU) and with over 200 knowledge and technology companies in Metu Technopolis to undertake Research and Development projects of various complexities and software development activities using widely used technologies.
Itnomy's middle and long term strategy for its outsourcing business in Turkey is to establish long term business relationships with its customers in Europe. Among the cooperation possibilities are establishment of joint ventures, allocation of dedicated teams for maintenance/support services and/or new product development.
Itnomy has skills to reverse engineer existing legacy systems/applications, to recover the (business and process) knowledge in existing systems, and to re-write/re-engineer these syetems with up-to-date technologies.
Itnomy team in Ankara can easily grow in number of engineers, and this makes it possible for Itnomy to undertake big and complex Software Development and R&D projects, and to deliver Quality Assurance and Testing services, and Reverse Engineering and Reconstruction services.
